I have a pair of BeyerDynamic DT440's - about 4 years old now, and still going strong. Very nice sound, good low end, the only problem being the ear cups tend to come adrift occasionally. For mixing I use a variety of headphones and speakers, to ensure it sounds good on any system, but the DT440s are the ones I usually use for music and composition.

Yeah, I will check for Beyerdynamic headphones anyway. I liked the 990.
Not sure about HD470, as I am not convinced by head set combinations. Didn't find an online shop selling those, either. I'll see what they offer at the next music store I find. Thanks for the hints and tips, guys. Smile

Coming up: a headphone roundup in July's Electronic Musician
-> http://emusician.com/bonus_material/

I'm interested in the review since the cans I have(Sennheiser HD580 and
Beyerdynamic DT331) are neither very good nor that bad.

Although having tested not a lot of different headphones, nowadays I own the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. Excellent sound quality and very very very comfortable for spending hours with music Wink

take a look into the last "keys" magazine. There is a special about headphones.

So I checked the magazine. Unfortunately, they only had some general overview that somewhat resembled product descriptions and technical data sheets. I'll have a listen to some headphones in a shop today, maybe that helps Smile
