Have prepared the next episode of Sonolab and the whole idea started with me discovering the excellent soundtrack for the Martin Scorsese movie Shutter Island. Compiled by Robbie Robertson it consists almost entirely of modern classical pieces that somehow have an ambient / atmospheric touch to them. But the music is very much on the dark side of things so I tried to offset it with some 'lighter' pieces.

The show is on every Sunday evening from 19:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs and tonight will feature music by:

* Max Richter - On The Nature Of Daylight
from the Shutter Island OST (label: Rhino)

* John Foxx - Return To A Place Of Remembered Beauty
from Cathedral Oceans II (label: Metamatic / Demon)

* Johann Johannsson - Part 1 / IBM 1401 Processing Unit
from IBM 1401, A Users Manual (label: 4AD)

* Global Communication - Sensorama
from 76:14 Expanded 2 disc edition (label: Sanctuary)

* Cliff Martinez - Will She Come Back
from the Solaris OST (label: Superb)

* Ian Boddy & Markus Reuter - A Beginning In Light
from Distant Rituals (label: DiN)

* Dinah Washington / Max Richter - This Bitter Earth / On The Nature Of Daylight
from the Shutter Island OST (label: Rhino)

Click on "Live stream" in the left column or for a week after broadcast the whole show is available as an On Demand Stream from the website of our radiostation. Where can you find that? Well, here of course:

and then click "Luister naar uitzending gemist" in the middle of the screen. A second window will open up (might be that you have to accept that through your pop-up killer) and the show starts (with a bit of that evenings 19:00 hours news first).

Check in if you have the time and let me know what you think of the show.
