You will be disappointed by the Choirs and Flutes.

Strings and Brass are gorgeous throughout, though.

You may elect to purchase one of the sound cards that adds 100 additional sounds from www.mellotron.com

They are however quite expensive ... $500 ea.

I just realized I never posted a shot of my new ARP 2600 F/S Semi Modular that did arrive on July 6 after taking a week to get here from sunny California.

But you would get all those lovely -- and utterly useless -- Mk. 2 accompaniment tape sets.

Instant early 1960s Blackpool Music Hall setting. Or Brighton, for that matter.

Money well-spent, I'd say.

No. The flute is exactly what I wanted.
The mixed choir is - different - from what I expected, but since it is the original I guess that's what it should sound like. It is also possible to change the sample start to get rid of the intonation that you don't hear on most other romplers.

Spotted a Casio mt400v in a charity shop nearby - it was v cheap so I bought it, I was pleased to be presented with the original box/packing and the pair of clip-on speakers whem I handed over the cash. It is another of casio's seemingly endless range of mini-key keyboards with auto accompaniment, this particualr one is similar to an mt68, less a few features but with the worthwhile add-on of a filter/envelope (paraphonic) and a odd but pleasing sounding chorus circuit. I like it!! it sounds nice (to me)
