Raumzeit the second! 03.September 2021 / Start 7 PM (CET)

Concert News Raumzeit the second!
03.September 2021 / Start 7 PM (CET)
Youtube link will follow 1-2 weeks before the event
Even before the fantastic reception and the exclusively positive reactions to the first Raumzeit edition, it was recently decided that there would be a second event in September. On September 3rd, 7 acts will unite again, who have recorded their concerts at unusual locations and will present themselves and their music in 3 festival sets.
The spirit remains, the locations are special and the schedule highly exciting, because no one knows which places the artists have chosen.

Empulsiv is looking forward to a very diverse and again international line-up:
Däcker
Dayflight
Pete Fern
Rene van der Wouden
Skoulaman
Suriya
Stefan Erbe

All artists will again be presented in detail on empulsiv.de, music and artist pages will be linked and the concerts will be available online on Youtube after the premiere.

Admission free of charge but with solidarity donation idea
As in the first edition, the Raumzeit festival is a non-commercial event with free admission.

The idea that visitors make a voluntary donation to the artists is to be continued this time as well. However, all the artists do not want to keep their donations themselves, but to pass on the proceeds to the flood victims. Stefan Erbe, host (and this time also co-musician) lives in one of the areas hit by the floods and gave this donation idea to the participants. A

ll acts agreed immediately and together we will pass on the whole amount completely. Of course we will accompany the result transparently and publicly and inform the Raumzeit visitors about the later handover procedure in detail.

You can always find more info on www.empulsiv.de

"Still Water" -My third ambient solo release
Posted Mon Jul 05, 2021 8:53 am by mr.randomizer
EM News Hello!

This is actually not very much synth album, but it does sound like one, so I thought that it might interest some ambient music aficionados here... Modular synth can be heard in one piece as well as some found sounds. Otherwise the main instrument is heavily effected bass guitar. It is my third solo release in this vein. The previous release was "Off the Map" collaboration with Nemesis and graphic designer Kimmo Heikkilä. (Kimmo designed also "Still Water"'s cover.)

The album is available for streaming in Spotify as well as other streaming platforms. The limited edition CD (edition of 100) is available through my Bandcamp. There is detailed information about the album in CD booklet and a in the pdf-file that is included in download.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

After a break of more than 6 years, the festival series "Raumzeit" is back and presents the concept of sending bands and artists on an unusual space search. Stefan Erbe, the organizer and empulsiv host, made the logistical specification to create music experiences in extraordinary places. This was the decisive criterion and Erbe asked all participants to find places and locations where where you would not expect a concert. No matter which place was chosen, everything was allowed and desired, the main thing is to find (s)a special space and time!
The festival has not thrown one of its original ideas overboard and presents the artists and their music not in the typical "back-to-back" order, but varies the content of all contributions in three concert blocks. The resulting points of contrast are one of the essential criteria of the event and create individual arcs of tension, beyond the usual concert structures. Each concert act offers a total of music between 30 and 45 minutes, of which always about one third per part.
The music of Raumzeit is electronic music. It is experimental or straightforward, sometimes ambient, technoid or quite traditional, it can be improvised or not. There are no spatial boundaries and everything that is synthetically generated is allowed. Raumzeit is an open, non-commercial project and offers all musicians a free presentation platfor . . .
