I'll sort some MP3's to send - what rate and how long can they be?

Time is not so much of an issue... But to keep the size reasonable, we prefer 128Kbps CBR or comparable VBR.

No prob...
CBR = Constant Bit Rate. So fixed to e.g. 128Kbps.
VBR = Variable Bitrate, for which you can usually set some base rate.

As you can see, I'm not an expert either. The main thing is to make sure the file doesn't get too big.

Here's a track I made several years ago called, "Chopped Logic."
http://users.chartertn.net/getpix/Chopped_Logic.mp3

I used Reaktor, Waldorf Q, Alesis Ion, guitar through Moogerfooger 101, 102, and a delay.

Hope you like it.

Here's a track Michael and I composed and performed Oct. 6 at a astronomers' convention. It was to commeorate the 50th anniversary launch of Sputnik. Those are some actual samples of Sputnik's beeping.

The track is entitled, "Initial Launch."

There's not much going on with this lately. And I wouldn't be surprised if the Jukebox would be completely removed from the next version of EMPortal, whenever that may be.

I hope that does not happen.

The Jukebox is a great feature at Emportal Exclamation

It allows people to listen to what Emportal members are doing with their musical talents.

If we are taking a vote I vote YES to keep the Jukebox Exclamation Exclamation
