I'm still committed to releasing music on physical CDs on DiN. Indeed watch out in the next few weeks for the announcement of a very interesting release for DiN41 in a new format.
However I have to balance up the expense and time it takes for physical releases with the amount of music that I'd like to put out. Hence using the DiNDDL platform for the release of more "experimental" or obscure releases.
Whilst this not be a perfect solution for everyone I feel it strikes a good balance.

Downloaded the flac yesterday and this is very, very different, a trip back to the dawn of electronic music, a pre/early synth sound FX era when tone generators ruled .
Random and experimental avoiding melodic musicality with lots of bleeps, chirps, squeaks and bubbles eventually leading to Schulze type sequencing towards the end.
The download actually includes 4 tracks, After The Rain Demo - 5:54 & The Final Transmission Demo - 5:00, probably edits.

Yes those two bonus tracks are edits. When you have long form pieces like this it's hard to present them in a meaningful way on platforms such as iTunes that allow for a 30 second preview. So I edited together two 5 minute sections that show off the varying moods from each of the two sets. I put these up onto Soundcloud and linked them to the DiN info page to give folk a good chance to hear what the album sounded like before buying. A slightly extended version of one of these is also used for the video.
And yes it is more reminiscent of early electronic music - if you're looking for comparisons you could possible mention Irrlicht or the title track of Atem. I've always loved this form of EM expression and this concert gave me the chance to showcase it for once. I realise it's not going to be every one's cup of tea and don't worry "normal service" will be resumed at my Electronic circus & Gatherings performances.
As for avoiding melodic content, well yes in the conventional sense although I call some of this harmonic rather than melodic. What I mean by that is that some sections have the oscillators tuned to specific scales such as a C Wholetone scales for the opening of set 1 and a diminished scale for the start of set 2. By doing this you imbue the proceedings with a certain flavour that helps create an atmosphere.
Anyhow thanks for trying it out. I've been releasing EM now for 32 years and for me the adventure continues.
MZ does allow you to also put up a larger preview of a track than the standard 30 seconds - as long as the audio file is under 8Mb - which is very handy for these long style tracks.

Sounds like this sounds like my cup of tea - put it on my list, just waiting for my cashbox to fill again... _________________ M I C H A E L B R Ü C K N E R http://michaelbrueckner.bandcamp.com
