Highly recommended, this is the best quality of the original Oygene version.
Then find it's companion Equinoxe (Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab UDCD 647 ) and the case is closed...

I have the Equinoxe CD also, need to find where I've put it.

Also have the LP versions.

Don't really play physical media any more so will be selling a lot of stuff this year.

HD crashes are a very good therapy against computer-based listening habits... Crying or Very sad Wink

true, but if your wife complains about you filling up the house with CD's and LP's it's the only solution!

Yes, digital collections need to be backed up. It's not rocket science.

Even terrabyte and larger usb drives are cheap now and getting cheaper. A fire, flood or burglary can wipe out a physical collection. An offsite backup provides security far in advance of any physical collection.

Yes and no, friend of mine had his laptop pinched once from home, the thieves spotted his wireless backup drive and pinched that also. He lost all his data in one go.

If someone wanted to pinch my music they'd need a large van, and access to my loft, would take ages and possibly less attractive to pinch than a computer.

Hence why 3rd backup offsite is a good idea.

One of the advantages of bulky PCs is that the robbers tend to take just the screen. I'll miss 'em when they disappear within 5 yrs. :p

offsite backups are unfeasible until the Internet is much faster. To backup my computer to 'the cloud' or anything online it would take weeks as there's 4TB of data.

And even then servers crash, so you need a backup of the server. Just keeps going and is far more complicated.

Laughing then remembering all the places with the backups and passwords...and adding new stuff every week.
I'll stick with the shelf collection where I can.
