It looks like Carlos Guirao, once member of Neuronium and a solo electronic artist passed away recently. Can anyone provide more details?

Thanks for the info. It is amazing that he gave his last concert in December. He must have been pretty weak by then and he still decided to play. RIP, Carlos. Thank you for the music.

I never knew he was that prolific after he had quit playing with Neuronium.
There´s one picture in the photo section I find very illuminating: It shows him, Huygen, and Vangelis at Nemo, with a Mini Moog partly visible between them ( http://carlosguirao.blogspot.com/2012/01/nemo-studio-vangelis.html ). On the "In London" EP, there´s just Huygen and Vangelis, with a very odd-looking Mini Moog (wondering for years for type of modification it had), and apparently Guirao had been photoshopped from that picture...

Good observation Stephen,
Guirao did not leave Neuronium on good terms.
Huygen's ego decided Neuronim is just himself and was not interested in any of Carlos' ideas.
A CG's line from an interview a few years back.

Carlos had been ill for some time.
The blackbird finally flew over his shoulder.
DEP Carlos

Sad to read these news, and actually sad to be introduced to another interesting musician just on the occasion of his passing away...

on Michel Huygen official Facebook page:
Quote:
Sad news: Carlos Guirao, member and keyboard player of Neuronium since the very beginning ( during 5 years) passed away this morning. Carlos got a terminal illness some years ago and he knew absolutely all about his painful end. Rest in peace, Carlos.
This photo was taken during the mixes of Digital Dream.

I don´t believe it, they are seated at an API console... how on earth did they manage to make "Visitor" and "Digital Dream" sound *that* anemic?!
This is the desk to go for (at least for me...).

Sad news.
Neuronium are very hit-and-miss for me, sometimes soaring and inspiring, other times far rather cheesy.
I have not heard much of his solo stuff. Time to rectify that, if only in tribute.

70s Neuronium is the best. Actually some recent stuff isnt bad either. However he has gone quite new agey in some aspects.
