I guess it just has to be seen the other way around: It is basically all about likes of TD and KS in this award. But there are certain reasons that makes it indispensable to extend the range of artists and bands to a compilation that is more or less close to what the audience actually what to see and hear on that stage then.

Maybe it makes it more interesting for some to win from them in those polls. Anyway I voted for TD and JMJ this time. Simply because I don't have or heard to other stuff and cannot compare it to each other.

I'm always happy to vote for Klaus Schulze whenever I have the chance to...
And speaking of those who (maybe) need exposure more desperately:
For my own part, I'm quite happy just to find myself in this poll, and about the extra attention this (perhaps) might generate.
Actually, I'm feeling like I already have won something, even without the slightest chance to win (...an award).
Therefore, I watch the procedures quite relaxed...
Oh, and by the way:
Of course in this case I profit from the success of those "big names" who (I guess) draw the attention of the majority to awards like this.
And from the "middle sized names" too, of course.
So: thank You very much everyone, nice to be allowed into the boat!

a small update.
as expected the amount of incoming votings are stable and we could count more than last year at this time. very interesting is the overall view and that many different acts and productions get votings. So this time, many "untypical" EM-Musicians receive also a remarkable amount of votes and one trend seems to be, that Fans not only given his "voice" to the "Big Deals".
The special Award goes this year to two Musicians.
Johannes Schmoelling and Uwe Saher aka Brainwork.

Nice to read this...
It also reminds me that I wanted to suggest one more special award:
"most entertaining project name"
I'd personally vote for "Das Kraftfuttermischwerk"

I vote only on myself, because no-one else does ;p
because I use 10 different email-names, (and different IP-adresses), I must have at least 10 votes, would that be enough to win?
But Bert - I have voted for You!
From 20 different adresses actually, so You should have at least 30 votes by now...

I´d rather vote for the "Daftest Name" in that case...

Can anybody here tell me what the criteria are to be on their list ? I do realize that mys cd's are not that populair in this part of europe, but my digital sales and downloads on iTunes and amazon of my last cd is +/- 4000. That should count for something Just wondering....

yes, i can.
All CDs which are available at several german CD Distributors and Resellers,
would be automatic included to the choice. The second chance is to be nominated
by a jurymember of the schallwelle Award. Generally all Music classified to the "EM-Genre" which is buyable could be nominated. To be part in future, i suggest to intensify your marketing in Germany ;D
