Before your heart is skipping a beat or two, it´s the other KS, formerly keyboard player with Doldinger´s Passport, Snowball, and -- of course -- Cusco.
Played Prophet 5, Mini Moog, Rhodes Piano, Yamaha CS80, EMS Synthi AKS, Roland Jupiter-4, Solina String Ensemble and various other goodies on the wonderful German soundtrack to Japanese anime series "Captain Future". Later on, he became one of the leading performers on Fairlight CMIs, Yamaha DX-1/TX-816/QX-1.
NP: "Million Bits in Concert", starring Schultze, Schmoelling, Thurow, Zuschrader, and Bognermayr.

Oh well, it seems the world is finally growing old...
I own quite a few records he performed on, didn't play most of them anymore for a long time (without any special reason, as most were good...).
Sad to have no happier reminder, but at least I will give some of them a spin tonight, to his memory...

Only 66 years of age... That's much too young.
I have fond memories of Metronomics (on the Erdenklang label). Will play it tonight.

RIP
For me, he is mostly known for working as music arranger on Giorgio Moroder's 1983 soundtracks to Scarface and DC Cab. He also worked with Maurice Jarre on the 1985 film Enemy Mine, and he scored quite a few german films in the 70s and early 80s.

Didn't know that. Scarface is an excellent work.

Sad news, he played the keys (along with Klaus Doldinger) on some of my most favorite Passport releases. Time to play the title track to CROSS-COLLATERAL (with lots of great Moog and e-piano solos).

Now playing: Passport - Cross Collateral
