Great initiative, and good that the first volume was successful enough for a second part. I will definitely buy a copy.

Yep, completely missed this thread, oopsy...

I would love to do the mastering again, but of course the real expert and probably the better choice would be Ron.

I'm not enough of a musician to contribute a track I'm afraid, but I would be honoured to assist with or actually do the mastering.

My experience with the first project probably allowes me to give a few tips. Actually, just one: mastering is much easier if every musician submits a finished track that has been mixed but not (pre-)mastered/compressed/maximized/normalized, and is in WAV/AIFF or at least FLAC/ALAC.

24/96 would be nice, 16/44.1 is mandatory. Sending big files over the web has never been easier. My best advice would be to use WeTransfer.com for that. Free, easy to use and up to 2 Gb maximum filesize.

As I explained in one of my posts about the first project, I'm a fan of real dynamics. We have a medium (cd) with a dynamic range of at least 80 dB, and most modern productions only use the tyniest part of that (typically less than 10 dB). That's not just a waste of bandwidth, but also of sound quality.

That's a deal M@kz. The result of last year was great and I would be more than happy if you would like to do it again.

Redshift and Free System Projekt would fit nicely for the 70s era, hopefully they contribute.

It is against the laws of physics for any 70's EM track to be shorter than 25 minutes.

It is my belief that there should be room for new artists (interested),
but, musically, I would like to do something very different this time...

How would it work?
Will you choose which ones will enter?
I'll work on something anyway, you decide, right?...
Greetings!

Hi Miguel,

Thanks for your interest and enthousiasm. There is quite some 'room' but in case of 'emergency' I am sure we can work something out. First I will list all the musicians who are interested in participating and I have noted you as well Smile

keep watching this 'space' .... Wink

Hello!
Cool
Yesterday/today I was "Sketching" something...
It would fit in the 91's era...
When the departure from the "Feeling" of the electronics were disssolving
into commerciality...
It's like a "Rescue" of the spirit of the 90's, hehe...

Well, of course I'll be in touch.
And congratulations in advance for the 5th anniversary next year!
Greetings to all!
Laughing

My track is heading into '80's Schroeder territory... which was a bit of a surprise.
