Everyone needs outllets in life, a personal place to go to when your down in the dumps or even if its something that makes or keeps you in the right place mentally.

Me personally, of course tons of EM, besides that working out - been into fitness over 29 yrs now, movies, renting-watching personally owned, or going to the movies, last movie i saw was The Kingdom, phenomenal movie. Bicycling, spending time with family or a woman when there is one around.

Im curious to see what other list members are passionate about in their lives.

Passionate about? Crocodiles, film-making, photography, sound recording and analysis (nice EM crossover there!), boats, wild places a long way from civilisation... oh, and my wife!

When I just want to relax, though, give me a good TV series with depth, intelligent movies, the occasional computer game (usually retro stuff these days) or a great book (historical fiction, science fiction)

Reading the newspaper front the front to the back.

Going to the cinema and seeing those films that are not shown that much in towns without universities. But those films are not more intellectual then others. They are just done different and subtile.

Walking in the woods for 10-15 km.

Enjoying a good meal and a tasty red wine.

Watching the new Tatort or Notruf on german TV every sunday evening (and most likely no other TV the whole week).

Cooking, the NFL (American professional football), watching my favorite movies on DVD many times over, going for long drives listening to music (e.g. 1 or 2 day trips back to my home state of Wisconsin), surfing the 'net (sites like fark.com, cnnsi.com, imdb.com, rottentomatoes.com, aintitcool.com), lusting after women I can't have (did I really write that???)
