Stomu Yamashta - GO Live From Paris

Amongst the many featured musicians in what must have been an incredible gig are Klaus Schulze, Steve Winwood & Al Dimeola.

A great album indeed - just a pity that Klaus Schulze is more or less reduced to the background; legend has it that he played a 30 Minute encore alone - wonder if there is any bootleg of this...

But I love the performance of Di Meola on this album - quite wild and rocking, less disciplined and restraint than on his later albums (he was still young then, I guess...)

Oh - what do I listen to?

Robert Schröder, Harmonic Ascendent again, acutally (fitting for breakfast...).

And Bruno Ender Lee did sent me a couple of albums which I will explore during my short vacation next week...

Joanne Shenandoah with Peter Kater - Life Blood

It has been a long time since I listened to this album. Still beautiful.

I'm diggin this one! I can't believe they were actually on I.C.

Sort of a mix of industrial with a light EBM (Electro Body Music) touch that doesn't hit you over the head. Even some nice funky basslines to liven things up. A little synth/electro-pop ala Kraftwerk thrown into the mix. Trippy vocals that go with the music..
I'm on track 6 (listening for the 1st time).

Eureka - Shackleton's Voyage

Interesting album by Frank Bosserd (guitarrist and keyboardist), good music in an Oldfield mood.

Reminds me of 1970s soft proggy rock. Including the narration.
Sort of reminds me of some of Wakeman's works?
