Dude, this topic is really courageous, I have to say.
Just imagine that some of the cover artwork out of our scene would have been mentioned in those collections of bad artwork...!
Not to be misunderstood: This funny artwork is exactly my cup of tea - I wouldn't actually mind if someone would put some of my work in those collections of bad taste.
At least that just means that I've achieved a kind of "superlative" which someone is keeping in mind...

The cover of Imaginarium by Ma Ja Le & Vir Unis is a Brycian hell.

If you want good space art, ask a space artist.

To me it looks like one of those "hellish" landscapes from the first Doom game. Not bad, but only because of that (pleasant) analogy.

It was 1983, a good EM year, Neuronium LP's stared trickling out of Spanish obscurity, TD released Hyperborea, KS Audentity & Vangelis' Antarctica was being smuggled out of Japan as it was illegal to sell it elsewhere...
Then this LP hits my mail box, I went by rave reviews from Lotus/AndyG and Eurock/Archie but never seen the cover. no Net, just snail mail.
Still in deep cover shock, I played the LP, and, wow, Sonic Perfume was an instant success paving the way for the New Age scene, and re-released several times on his other reissues.

Ps. nothing wrong with Europe's The Final Countdown... in fact there is an even worse cover with a band photo.
Indeed...
What's that cover doing in the site... doesn't belong, I think.
However... Whoa!!! hehe...
some REALLY bad covers over there!

Depends on Your frame of mind.

P.S. I'm an old sci-fi fan, I quite like it, I think...
Who did that cover, btw.?
