Hi, because I saw the name Levay mentioned I have some questions.......
In the late 80's Levay made some very beautiful TV film scores :
The abduction of Kari Swenson 1987
Dead before dawn 1993
Does somebody hase more info about these ? Cd, Record, etc ?
any info is welcome, waveman2.3

Thanks Jon for reply, In one word It's cruell to know there is no music at all, unless you have the VHS/NTSC movie.
In the past many scores they (Tim Thruman as well) made for sequences they never seen the day of light........a real shame It is ! waveman

Yes, there is a double-CD with music from Airwolf. Some re-arranged by Mark Cairns and some by Levay himself.

I have an old ZYX record with Airwolf theme and stuff. Didn't make me happy that time, quite boring CD, although I always liked the theme. Actually, completely lost track on Levay in the 90th. But it's hard to get hold of that stuff, similar to music by Velton Ray Bunch (Pretender, Enterprise, et al.)

Not strange that you lost track on Levay, he really hasn't done much film music since the early 90s, only a couple of german productions. Check his filmography at imdb.com. He has done some musicals though, "Elisabeth" was a big success. Also, his score to Hot Shots (1991) is available on CD.

That Airwolf Themes double CD went into history as the most expensive TV soundtrack ever... it fetched $981.74 or something on ebay a couple of years ago...
But you can get a repress for cheap now I think or just a digital download or something...
There is quite an interesting story about this soundtrack on wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airwolf_Themes
Would make a really interesting documentary...searching for airwolf
Quote:
Due to various licensing issues at the time, Cairns decided in early 1994 to produce his own high-quality soundtrack for the series using the episodic scores from the first three seasons of the series to create the first 22 synthesizer-based tracks on the soundtrack, including various medleys and character themes. This was produced entirely by ear on Yamaha and Korg synthesizers, sequenced on an Apple PowerMac.
hehe

I'm one of the lucky ones who got this 2CD for a normal price when it was released in early 2000...
