I heard of PATRICK KOSMOS from the -IC- Label.

I have 2 CD's, but I don't know what was his real presence in the electronic world.

Was a well-known artist, or just a local talent???
What has happened to his career?

I think he was quite talented. Or at least I though at that time (early 90's?). I may think differently if I revisit his music now.

Before his IC albums Patrick Kosmos released quite a few cassettes. And some of them were really excellent, like The Concert. Most of his old stuff was released as a 12-cd box-set long ago.

As far as I know his last project was a "lounge" CD released under the name of "Sherazade" called "La Loungerie" in 2002.
It does seem he's off the planet 'cause his website is outdated (latest adjustment 1999).

Another one down the drain ?.

Wow!, that's a lot of music...

How can you keep up a career doing that?

Hopefully he will return... like his "Stardancer"

Is this another artifact of the database getting all screwed up?

Aww, no, don't! That looks like an at least medium-interesting historic document, I'd love to get a look at what the scene was like back then

He deliberately chose to do so in his later years when he was with labels like BSC Prudence. His earlier stuff is, dare I say it, actually quite appealing to Berlin School aficionados. Rather Schulzian...

Good to hear, but we're actually talking about Patrick Kosmos here, not Bernd Kistenmacher. Wink

Any news on him?

I remember he released cassettes initially from 1980, then out of the blue, Best of's came out on the IC label. I remember wondering best of what, who's Kosmos, that's a big thing up there...where all the good music was inspired from.

Regardless, his music is still very good, the 12xCDr Chronicles set with his tapes albums is excellent even today, covering unreleased works from 1980 to 2000.
There was an additional CDr that could be ordered from him direct by those who bought the box set, does anyone have it, would not mind a copy to complete the set.

IC years:
1991 Best of PK-Live~Cosmic Resonance (Totally different music from the same album title in the 12CD set!)
1991 Best of PK-Vol 2~Planet News
1991 Best of PK-Vol 3~Comet's Tale
1993 Virtual Reality

Art For Ears label VA compilations unique tracks contributions:
1994 Ambient Nation 1-The Hill
1995 Ambient Nation 2-Forteen Ways To A Vertical Take Off

+++++++++++Gap+++++++++++++++

Quantum Records
1999 Trance Neutral Zone

Invisible Shadows Records:
2000 Lucid Dreams, 2x35+ minutes tracks

Oreade (New Age):
2000 The Healing Breath
2001 Spiritual Dream
2002 La Loungerie, a lounge/world chill out release under the Sherezade name, which makes sense as PK was not the only musician on it, actually a very cool album.

+++++++++++The End+++++++++++

This is all I know and have, appreciate if anyone else could chip in, especially locating that extra CDr from the Chronicles.
