This also could go into the movie corner but as Disney has sneaked in here already I am going to list a few of my favorite movies.

Name of the Rose
Jaws
12 Angry Men
Lord of the rings trilogy part 1
A Few good Men
7 Days in May
Finding Nemo
Jerry McGuire
Warriors
All quit on the western front (old black and white version and then in german voice overs)
The Searchers
Green Mile
Dead poet society
The Shawshank Redemption
Widness
Picknick at Hanging rock

If I had to take 10 films to a diserted Island these 16 would be come Smile

2001 - A Space Odyssey (and all Kubrick Films)
THX 1138
Andromeda Strain
Kes - A classic by one of my fav directors Ken Loach. The most moving film I know.
Hammer House. The original late 60's and early 70's films are absolutely wonderful!
Name of the Rose
Turkse Fruit (our Dutch members will know this. Beautiful film with a wonderful soundtrack)
Picnic at hanging rock and Solaris are also in my top list.

And almost any 1970's British film. Must be my romantic vision of where I come from..

I love the ideas behind both those films, but there are certain things about the films that annoy me.

Looks like Kubrick is the most common denominator amongst people here Smile
