"Ambient is never finished. It is an experiential process of becoming – for listeners, for creators and more broadly as a musical philosophy."

A friend shared this article on FB today, and I found it an interesting (...if perhaps rather cerebral) reading; which doesn't mean I agree to all of it, though...

Maybe a starting point for a nice discussion...? Wink

This Lawrence English gentleman apparently wrote it on occasion of the 40th anniversary of the release of Eno's "Music for Airports", btw...

From the article: "As a musical form it has endured, even though its sense of self as a genre has become arguably obfuscated at best and ineffectual at worst.

Can anyone translate for me.. Rolling Eyes

Ambient 4 On Land is one of my all time Favs..

Not sure, but I guess he's trying to tell us that as long as an ambient album is produced by him or his friends, we should purchase it...

I managed to read the full article. But I have absolutely no clue what the author wanted to tell.

Neither do I... Rolling Eyes

...still nice to see that ambient is a topic to be discussed, though.
Can't be bad (for artists) if some general public interest is generated. Wink
