Things are getting better, but are we going to get shorter sets from each artist?

I'm not sure yet whether to have each act 15 minutes shorter, or whether to just make the turnaround times tighter. The problem is that a short breakdown/soundcheck is fine if all the gear and PA works OK. HOWEVER, in the event of a problem, it can all go tits up in a very short space of time. There have been several instances over the years where things have come close to meltdown..and believe me its not a pretty sight ..!! Generally we've been lucky with technical issues, but there is always Sod's Law.
I think you'll find Adrian doing a slightly shorter set and most acts still sticking with their 50-60 min sets plus any encores that are requested. We run close to time every year, and I hope this year will be no different.
I aim to provide value for money.

Hi everyone.. just a quick update on things.
There are only 40 tickets left, so anyone that wants to come along, or anyone thats knows someone who is thinking of coming along, please let me know sooner rather than later....
Tickets are all going out in a batch this year, probably in September...just makes life and admin a little easier for me.
Do you think that there will be demand for an 6th anniversary HJ T-shirt? It was something a few people suggested to me last year (as a 5th anniv, obviously); if there is interest I'll try to get some made up at a decent cost.

Oh Mr Squirrel
since I paid as soon as it were announced,
would it be too much to ask for some sort of
"yeah thanks your tix is safe" msg since I and
many other peeps don't want to get to September
and then find I'd "slipped though a crack" and was
OMG ticketless, Just a tiny suggestion from a devoted
customer, and please do come to the Village Hall agin

That's a bit unexpected! I'll probably have moved house by then - I'll email you the details if it happens of course...

There has been a cock up with the bookings for the Village Hall
So at the moment the fate of the HJ jam is unknown
It may be that we can get the Sunday or if not it will be off this year
Will update the website once I know for sure:
www.hampshirejamjam.co.uk

It is very hard to book anything at a distance. The only person who might know of anywhere else is Mr Jenkins. I shall try him.

Just to clarify Jez - does the cock-up apply only to the HJ Jam, or also the main gig itself?
