You may have heard or read that Jeff Bezos is an avid fan...

Lucky us,...

`Amazon Studios is bringing audiences back to the lands of Middle-earth with a new prequel series set in The Second Age, thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit .. and rumor has it that the first season will hit Prime Video by 2021.

Amazon issued a press release in November 2017 confirming the acquisition of global television rights for The Lord of The Rings and its intent to produce a prequel series with a multi-season commitment.
The series is reported to ´explore new storylines preceding J.R.R. Tolkien´s The Fellowship of the Ring,´ and the deal also includes rights for a potential spinoff series.
`

Let´s pray that the quality of those series will come close Confused

Rainbow. I saw them live at Spain yesterday at Rock The Coast festival. An impressive amount of energy on stage, Ritchie Blackmore is the f*cking master.

After two days of heavy metal concerts (Scorpions, Europe, Magnum, UFO, Rainbow and many more) I have to let my ears to recover Smile

Oh yes UFO !!

Blast from the youth past. Saw them live twice in Dundee in 78/79 supported by Saxon and Liar I think.

They were utterly superb, -Strangers in the Night- tours round about then. One of the best live albums of all time Cool Cool

King Crimson, B'Boom: Live in Argentina (live in 1994)

Saw KC live just yesterday evening at the Jahrhunderthalle, Frankfurt (first time ever in my life! Shocked )
It was in every way the perfect concert that I had hoped for (with just one complaint: like Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings", it was too short Wink )

Oh, well - KC covered quite a spectrum both over the years as well as often on one album. Also, they tend to be challenging and testing people's comfort zones often (but in a brilliant way, I think). So my recommendations are really strictly personal here, no idea if they will work for You, but...

If I had to pick one, and only one album by KC, it had to be Red from 1974, their last one in the 70s.

But fortunately I don't have to pick just one Laughing therefore I also recommend:

"At The Court Of The Crimson King" (1969)

"Lark's Tongues in Aspic" (1972)

"Discipline" (1981)

"Thrak" (1995) - YOU LOST THAT...?!? Shocked

"The ConstruKction of Light" (2000)

If You explored AND enjoyed these, without a doubt You won't need encouragement to also discover the rest… Cool

Interesting. Yeah, hope that will be nice - although I actually was talking about the book, not the movies (I like those too, though… Wink )

Thanks for the King Crimson tips Michael. Think I will start with Red.
