Melodysheep - The Arrow of Time

Nice music with electronic and Vangelis-esques influences

Eloy Fritsch - Journey to the Future

While the music on this album is undeniably well-produced, it’s lacking in a couple of aspects for me. First and foremost in originality. The tracks could have been on a Johnny Voorbogt album from the late 80’s/early 90’s. Yes, it’s really that cheesy at times! Journey to the Past would have been a better title in that respect.
Also the (fake?) CS-80 sounds get really on my nerves. If I want to listen to a Vangelis album, I’ll put one on from the Big V. There are enough albums to choose from.
All in all quite a disappointing realease from Groove. And one to forget, imho.

Eloy Fritsch - Journey to the Future

Second attempt to find something positive in this album. Alas! This music really comes about 35 years late. Final spin before it gets filed away and will probably never be played again. A waste of money.

It is strange. I love all the sounds of this music. Then, why am I feeling bored ? It seems that imitating Vangelis' sounds is not enough to equal the master. If I want to hear this kind of sounds, I'll just pick up China and the musical quality will be there, whereas I can't find it in Eloy Fritsch's music. I wish I could like this album but I can't. The ingredients are there but it may be the way they are cooked that I fail to identify with. Sad

I’ve been looking to get a dowload of this album for yonks. Robert has no bandcamp, not on spotify or iTunes, will have to track down a CD.

I notice from his website there’s a new album “Fata Morgana” description sounds good and excellent album cover. 40 th anniversary release. On the list also !
