Hello everyone, let me wish you a great 2012 year. This last week saw Synth&Sequences reaches the 90,000 hits. Thanks to all of you, artists for your collaboration and readers for your visits and reading, making this such a great EM Blogsite. Six albums were reviewed in the last 2 weeks and slowly I’ll start building my 2011 Top 10 in the next weeks. I have some music to discover and review before doing so…Until the next post, enjoy life 
Phoenix Arising from Steve Smith and the Tylas Cyndrome is a very good mixture of Berlin and England School (lot of Redshift & Mark Shreeve sequencing) and prog music. Another strong one from Groove label:

I have mixed feelings towards this Mona Da Vinci from TD. It’s not as weak as it sounds and not as good as it should be. But at the end, I liked it: http://synthsequences.blogspot.com/2012/01/tangerine-dream-mona-da-vinci-2011.html
This is a great surprise from Sotted Peccary. Justin Vanderberg’s Synthetic Memories has this wonderful blend of atmospheric and sequencing Berlin School touch. Maybe the best surprise this year:

The music of Darshan Ambient edges New Age but with a touch of romantism and melancholy. On Dream in Blue he brings his musical touch near the old jazz territories. It’s very special and hides some nice treasures in it:

Here is a strong compilation from the Ultimae label; Ambrosia Selected by Fishimself is a blend of down-tempos stuck into atmospheric moods. I really like this one too:

What can I say about this one, if not that it’s another amazing musical journey through time by Graham Getty and Michael Neil. Retrochet III is as good as Vol. I and contains 2 wonderful, but wonderful tracks:

Have a good reading. New Pyramid Peak, Ramp, faBIO, TripleS and others are on the line for reviewing. So be sure to log in once in a while. Until then, enjoy life…
