The fact that it's on their (cds) website doesn't necessarily mean that they can deliver it. Most of the time - or at least quite often - they can't.

That's one of the reasons I'm not buying there anymore. Nothing more frustrating than ordering something and getting an email (much later most of the time) telling you the article is no longer available.

I strongly suggest not even trying it.
3 years ago I came across the same thing, looked like I traveled back in time and placed a large order for which I had to pay via paypal at the end.
Took me 4 months to get my money back chasing them all the time explaining I don't need credit held up there.
The explanation was that it was an old site version (fully working for payments though) and rarely visited, yet my payment was accepted within 24 hours...
I dealt with them since CDS started but that was my last time.

I´ve heard similiar stories about them, though I have never dealt with Dave myself.

Sent him an inquiry for Redshift CDs I was looking for, and he replied promptly, stating that the website was slightly dated. Oh, well...

As for Zorch, you might try places like Muffwiggler or the EMS Synthi Forum. Perchance somebody has a spare copy for sale?

Stephen

I have no intention of even trying the CDS route. Their site is woefully out of date while their catalog seems to reflect virtually every wanted electronic CD released in the last 15 years, and, of course, most of it is OOP or unavailable. I contacted them directly about an order many years ago, and they had one or two, but I sincerely doubt they'll have either the Zorch or Watkins discs on hand.

Just helped him with a copy of the Kit Watkins cd.
I had a copy and listened only a few times to it.
He bought it from me along with an other cd from my saleslist here on the forum (section The Mall).
Give me again some space for the new releases i've bought.

Richard.

Confirming first should work out OK, I dealt with them very well form their beginnings by email/phone & never through the website, mainly following AndyG's post Lotus/Mike Lloyd's Megastore movements.

One day a friend sends me link to the website (which I never seen before) saying, look a lot of your wants...I clicked there not believing my eyes, looked like someone found a big box of long gone releases and filled my cart, followed the steps by paying at the end...
What I also found out is that there can be several people involved other than Dave/Moira.
My annoyance was finding that none of my selections were available, some were "back ordered" from labels/artists delaying the inevitable by a few more weeks, my emails answered with emails meant for others and nothing to do with my stuff and the lengthy runaround getting the refund in currency not other goods.

No replies at all for those 2 other Watkins discs I'm looking for (not to mention the others on my list). Does no one lurking here have these? Or do you own them and don't want to part with them? Smile

Lots of views, but only 1 substantial reply thus far...shout out, folks!

Laughing

Just was curious - as for me, I didn't even ever hear of the artists of the albums You're looking for.

Shame on me... Wink

The Zorch CD is very rare - though well worth tracking down.

Don't bother with CDS.
