These last 2 weeks I stuffed my ears of new music from Patrick O’Hearn, Wellenfeld, Carbon Based Lifeforms and David Wright. I took advantage of this occasion to dig up old reviews and translated them. This way I added 10 reviews on my Blog which has now 337 reviews and more than 77 000 visits. Thanks all for your support

The world of Patrick O’Hearn is filled of mysticism and dark romance. In my quest to review is latest album, Transitions, I had the need to emerge my ears in his very first opus Ancient Dreams and what a delight: http://synthsequences.blogspot.com/2011/11/patrick-ohearn-ancient-dreams-1985.html

A little like an old friend whose track and memories we had lost, Patrick O' Hearn comes by to visits us again with a wonderful gift, Transitions:

Wellenfeld's Trip to Illusion is one of the great and harmonious opuses of 2006. This one and Phase V are among the nicest EM albums of the New Berlin School EM style: http://synthsequences.blogspot.com/2011/11/wellenfeld-trip-to-illusion-2006.html

Here’s a review of Phase V: http://synthsequences.blogspot.com/2011/11/wellenfeldphase-v-2010.html

Wellenfeld’s Sunshine is fine. Not as good as Trip to Illusion but a nice New Berlin School album:

The same observation can be make for The Big Bang which is very good but not as strong as Phase V. But all in all, Wellenfeld is a true value for catch EM:

Now this is an amazing discovery to me. It’s been a while since I heard lot of good things about Carbon Based Lifeforms and I finally dive into their world. And guess what? Why did I had to wait that long? Interloper is a masterpiece which makes the bridge between Electronica and EM:

More ambient and intensively atmospheric, Twentythree is as good as the best ambient works of Steve Roach: http://synthsequences.blogspot.com/2011/11/carbon-based-lifeforms-twentythree-2011.html

I like the music of David Wright and here’s a translation of an old review that I updated with the release of the Digital Download of Reflections:

Within years, David Wright continues to seduce. In Search of Silence is his last opus and it’s a true masterpiece of melodious, atmospheric, rhythmic and cinematographic music. If you enjoyed Walking with Ghosts and Dreams and Distant Moonlight, this one’s for you. Possibly the best album so far in 2011:

I know I was supposed to talk about Groove new releases. Well it will be for the next weeks, be sure of it.
Have a great Sunday, a great week and a great piece of life
