I'm not a big films person but here are the ones I'd watch more than once (In no particular order)
Get Carter (Original version, not that piece of toss Stallone did)
A Bridge too Far
Ipcress File
Carry on up the Khyber
The Haunting
The Longest Day
2001 (fast forward past the monkeys)
Bullitt
Dirty Harry
Dark Star
Assault on Precinct 13

That was done because of union dues having to be paid for guild musicians fees
Then they used circuits composed on the ring modulator to provide the content of the tonalities.....
Anyway it is still a score to me, at any cost

I generally don't enjoy remakes, or even sequels. there are exceptions. As remakes go Get Carter is amongst the worst. It's very difficult to take a film out of it's time zone and make it succeed, even harder to transfer it to a totally different culture. The people who did the remake just didn't get it. I am glad you enjoy both it's just that I don't .
And don't even get me started on The Italian Job !!

Just picked up the DVD of Cat People yesterday for a bargain price. She wasn't too bad in that film either (certainly not on the eyes ).
Pretty good soundtrack by Giorgio Moroder too.

I liked Cat People too. Love Bowies title track and the version used in the movie was the best.
