Some tracks reminiscent to Michael Garrison's style

on:
Akikaze - The Age Of Deception (2008)

Akikaze - Music From The Mesozoic (2009)

Especially track number 11 from "Music From The Mesozoic" had a profound Impact on me today, together with Point of No Return from "The Age Of Deception"

Thank you very much Pepijn!

Atomic Rooster - Home to Roost LP. Not long had this and getting into this early heavy prog. Always loved the Devils Answer which was one of the first real Rock tunes I heard as a very young lad.

Yes - The Ladder Must be years since I listened to this, maybe over a decade. To be honest it is actually not too bad. Some nice melodic tunes.

Cool! Cool
I have this double LP since almost forever. Didn't give it a spin though for many years, either. "Devil's Answer" is a good song, but I remember to have enjoyed some others more, like the interestingly titled instrumental "A Broomful of Bromid Helps Your Pulsrate Go Down" or the rather depressing ballad "Winter". Might be one of those old albums to revisit some day soon in these strange times...

My own recent listens included:

Robert Rich, Drones

Dead Can Dance, Into the Labyrinth

Lisa Gerrard & Pieter Bourke, Duality

Klaus Schulze & Lisa Gerrard, Rheingold

Klaus Schulze & Lisa Gerrard, Farscape

Lisa Bella Donna, Tintinnabulation

...plus various live clips of Al di Meola on YT.

Nice one Michael, will look out for those two tracks. Just listened to sides 1 and 2 again there, really like this album. Seems to be the German pressing I have which turned up in my local record store in Dundee of all places Cool

Now playing Thorstens new sessions CD. Oh yes , this is great stuff.

Vangelis, Opera Suavage OST

Lisa Bella Donna - Tintinnabulation

Track 1 is not definitively my piece of cake, but track 2 is gorgeous Smile like "Beaubourg" evolutioning to become "Blade Runner"

Yes, the experimental / atmospheric "section" goes on slightly too long for my taste as well. The end of track 1 though (once Lisa switches into melodic mode) are quite beautiful, I think...

In the meanwhile I have arrived at:

Vangelis, The City

.
