Not to mention the hideous German title which has nothing to do with the original either.

I am reading the original (dutch) version, so far quite hilarious Smile

Hi Paul!
I mostly do my own art and design. But I do have a bit of an advantage, in having used Photoshop since 1995 (I used to informally teach it).
The cover to 'Beautiful Intelligence' was created by a friend of mine who is an expert in 3-D rendering. I just added the title etc!

Agreed, it's brilliant. Well, actually both books are brilliant (and I must admit that the translation of the second one is a lot better, much to my amazement).

A fascinating story. I saw the documentary about Theranos: The Inventor - Out for Blood in Silicon Valley. Which is also highly recommended.

Just finished reading Dean Koontz' amazing, uplifting, exciting, frightening, astonishing and spiritual book One Door Away From Heaven.
By the way, those adjectives can usually be used to describe most Dean Koontz books. He is great!

Just started to read China Mieville's The City & The City.
I have only read one book from him earlier (Perdido Street Station), and it was one of the most bizarre, inventive, surreal and engaging books I have read.
New set of adjectives there. Wink
