New Releases and Reviews - Loren Nerell - Point Of Arrival released on vinyl LNerell - Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:31 pm Post subject: Loren Nerell - Point Of Arrival released on vinyl
Hi everyone,
At the same time as my new CD I have another release which is an oldie that might appeal to fans of the golden age of sequencer music. It's the first album that I ever released back in 1986 on cassette and is now out on vinyl (my first ever vinyl release) called Point of Arrival.
This release is a bit different then my current output, more in line with the so called "Berlin school" of music (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Micheal Hoeing, etc), but from a west coast point of view. You can pick it up at the following urls:

I hope you all enjoy the music, thanks for your support. dronescape - Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:12 pm Post subject:
I hope you didnŽt actually bury the OB-8... if so, let me know where and IŽll get myself a shovel .

Ha ha. No, its not real. I made it from thrown away parts back when I worked at Oberheim in the mid 1980s. I still have it in my garage somewhere. It's made up of an OB8 front panel, a Matrix 12 back panel, and a Matrix 6 keyboard. No electronics in it at all. Buttons and knobs where just taped on for the photo shoot. betawave - Sun Jun 24, 2012 11:16 pm Post subject:

Yes, we are talking about dong a CD release with a bonus track later after the vinyl has sold out. Also in the works is a compilation CD with 2 or 3 unreleased tracks from the same time period as this album. Ralf Hutter - Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:50 am Post subject:
I own the original cassette release of this. I bought it from my buddy Chuck Oken at Rhino in Claremont.
