I hope this is just a hoax and nothing but a bad joke:

I am speechless and shellshocked (even though it did not exactly come unexpectedly, if that news is true).

Very sad news. For me the one and only hero in music.

It's true. Crying or Very sad

I just found the devastating news about an hour ago, on my way home from my daytime job.

To me it came completely unexpected at this point, all that I had heard recently rather suggested that Klaus' health had (to some degree) improved...

I'm sad and shocked, and I'm feeling numb and desoriented right now.
Guess I'll need some time to process this...

Farewell, Master, and rest in peace!

Just read this sad news, and my heart literally set out for a beat.

Rest in Peace, my everyday inspiration.

I, too, will always love your musical output.

I am devastated by this news. May he rest in peace. The world would be a much duller place without Klaus' music. For me, he was the biggest inspiration and definitely the No. 1 EM artist (and any other genre) of all times.

Sad news indeed.

His influence on electronic music in the broadest sense has been substantial. He has been an inspiration for many. Klaus was a true pioneer and a free mind that changed music history.

His legacy will live on.

At least for the time being.

Which won't be long anymore, as far as I can tell.

Just damn. Playing "Sequencer 70-07" (the track that got me back into listening to KS) and will then be followed by Stomu Yamashita's GO ("Crossing the Line").

RIP, Master.

I am at a loss for words.

I have been buying albums and listening to Klaus for nearly 50 years. I feel like I have lost a good friend.

RIP, Klaus

This is the sad news that I feared was coming. With all of the great musicians leaving us so recently, I hoped I would not see KS added to the list ...

He was the reason I gave up playing bass guitar and started surrounding myself with synthesizers around the mid 70's.

I am fortunate to have all of his "official" releases on CD, including box sets and the June release on pre-order.

R.I.P. Klaus Schulze

I tried to respond earlier but it did not go through.

This has to be the saddest news for all EM fans and musicians around the world.

I am lucky to have almost every recording he ever released, the originals and the reissues.

The good news is I am 69 and retired, so I can sit back and listen to as many as I can in the little time I have left on this planet.

KS was the reason I switched from bass guitar to a room full of at least 30synthesizers, not counting the ones I use to own since the early 70's.

I guess Stephen was referring to the current political situation here...

Some very touching and personal thoughts by music journalist Tobias Fischer (Beat Magazine, ToKaFi, 15questions) on the passing of Klaus Schulze and Vangelis, and the impact that had on their fans and followers...

https://15questions.net/interview/memory-makers/page-1/

(I'll post this in both places because it concerns both musicians, although KS perhaps a bit more than Vangelis...)

Not only *here* but everywhere, sooner or later.
